Recipe: 和風 WAFU (Japanese style) Salad Dressing.

和風 WAFU (Japanese style) Salad Dressing

* 3 tablespoon Salad or Vegetable Oil
* 2 tablespoon mirin (rice vinegar)
* 1 tablespoon Sesame Seed Oil
* 1 tablespoon Light Soy Sauce
* 1 teaspoon Lime Juice
* 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
* A pinch of sugar

This is not a very good version of my favourite salad dressing. I can't find wafu salad dressing here to buy so I have to make it for myself because I've decided that I can't live without it any longer. This was my first try so I will use this post to track my progress in getting it right. If you know how to make one please leave your recipe in comments.

That's a really basic one and just tastes like oil really. The real deal has all sorts of goodies like ginger, onion, japanese radish, pepper, garlic etc. Juzz and I are going to make a proper one tomorrow and hopefully bottle some for sale in the future. You heard it here first on John TV.

Less oil! less oil! You may as well deep fry that salad. Add some lime juice, YUM! Always more ginger! MOAR! :P

Smells like BBQ shapes! That tomato and salt. Not a bad thing really. Should smell more garlic/gingery after a night in the fridge. Yum.
